In Pennsylvania where we live, old farm houses like this are common . On this particular day last Spring, the owner was curious and walked out to chat. Authentic detail is something I look for during the work in progress and so the property owner was added to the painting. His dog remained indoors, a relief, the booming sound of the dogs' bark told me he was not friendly!
